Currently, Kenya
has more than Two million orphans as a result of the dreadful HIV/AIDS,
any effort to support them in any way often comes as a great relief.
OUR HISTORY
In
2002 the community around St. Monica Children's Home reflected on St.
James chapter 1:27 which says “The religion that is pure and
undefiled before God and Father is this: to care for orphans and widows
in their affliction”. They believed that God was leading them
to start St. Monica Children's Home in the midst of slums. Therefore,
after establishing the Home in 2003, her Excellency, the first Lady of
the Republic of Kenya Lucy Kibaki, visited the Home and conducted its
official opening on 26th June 2004. She highlighted by all means the existence
of St. Monica Children's Home and well wishers to support the Home. She
saw the challenges of St. Monica Children's Home.
